Who We Are

Freedom & Power Collective

It is our firm belief that we grow better together. The Freedom & Power Collective is an elite working group of the S.E.E.D. Initiative, comprised of Black and Brown community leaders that utilizes the support of our white agents of change to deliver essential resources to low-income communities of color. The collective was established to provide an alternative 21st Century education, skill proficiency training, access to state and local resources, employment and investment opportunities for people and communities of color.

Become a Member

Through our strategic partnerships, we have aggregated and compiled, proven and effective (primarily free), education and training materials, resources, employment, and investment opportunities for economic development. By organizing, streamlining, and structuring these resources we have developed an alternative education system designed to meet the specific and unique needs of underserved communities of color.

21st Century Learning
When you sponsor a child, you create a powerful multiplier effect. You help them see beyond the daily struggles of life in poverty. Your support releases them from a cycle of short-term decisions and helps them gain the ability to begin contributing to their own families and communities.
Democracy Centers
Richmond Democracy Center provides Civic Education to show our communities the power of the black and brown vote. Utilizing technology, we identify the most effective ways to organize, mobilize, and to increase civic engagement, voter registration, participation and turnout.
Job Training
Sponsorship encompasses key programs specifically designed to address a child’s toughest issues in their fight against poverty. Getting and staying healthy, staying in school, finding a stable job. You can help a child overcome challenges they’d otherwise face for a lifetime.
Investment Opportunities
Financial Education that teaches you to stop thinking like a consumer and start behaving like an investor! We identify and create structured investment opportunities that are made available for low-moderate income comminutes of color can generate passive income.
Co-operatives
We help communities establish sustainable revenue models for food, farming, education economics, and clean energy. Through co -operatives, we can own a piece of where we learn and spend our black and brown dollars. become a member and let your voice be heard.
Accessible Resources
The Resource Center provides assistance with homelessness, substance abuse, reentry, legal, social services, behavioral and mental health support. We have access to housing, jobs/training, education, and other health, wealth building tools. Visit us in person or online.
